In celebration of The Singletons' 16th birthday, I'm helping this amazing organization raise needed funds for one of their most important programs.
The Singletons Kitchen Program distributes nutritious dinners on a monthly basis to help simplify meal prep and promote time spent together as a family.
I've been to many of The Singleton's events and was just asked to join the Board of Directors. I have also become friends with some of the families they serve, and have witnessed the impact The Singletons make.
There are tremendous challenges for single-parent families battling cancer:
- 66% of Singletons parents are unable to work while undergoing cancer treatment
- 73% of Singletons parents do not receive child support
- 75% of the Singletons Families are living below the poverty line
- And tragically, 70% are fighting Stage 4 Cancer.
The programs The Singletons provide are essential and rely solely on community donations.
